Arts & Crafts, Shaker and Custom Designs
 |

| | We create each piece using traditional, time-tested methods and exceptional care in every detail. Work starts by selecting the rough lumber from a wide variety of first-quality kiln-dried domestic hardwoods. This allows us to pay close attention to matching grain and tone so necessary to fine furniture. Our favorite woods include cherry, walnut, tiger maple and quarter-sawn white oak.
Traditional joinery techniques such as mortise and tenons, hand-cut dovetails and hand planing are used to create furnishings that are aesthetically pleasing, functional and able to serve your family for generations.
To complete our work, varnish oils are applied and rubbed by hand to enhance each piece's design and achieve a finish that is a pleasure to touch. Arts and Crafts furnishings are finished using the traditional method of fuming prior to applying the oil. |

| Furniture built by Rocky Coast Joinery stands apart from the rest because:
- We make one piece at a time
- The lumber is hand-selected and matched
- Only solid wood is used-never plywood or composites
- Table legs and skirts are joined by mortise and tenon
- Drawers have hand-cut dovetails
- Finishes are hand-applied
- We take personal care in our work and sign each piece
- Custom work is standard for us
